Dear Lefty Hater,
I cannot wrap my brain around your definition of tolerance. In real life, tolerance means this:
tol·er·ance
- Pronunciation:
- ?tä-l?-r?n(t)s, ?täl-r?n(t)s
- Function:
- noun
1: capacity to endure pain or hardship : endurance , fortitude , stamina
2 a: sympathy or indulgence for beliefs or practices differing from or conflicting with one’s own b: the act of allowing something :toleration
3: the allowable deviation from a standard ; especially : the range of variation permitted in maintaining a specified dimension in machining a piece
This means allowing for deviation from YOUR standard, too. Quite honestly, though, I’m not entirely sure what your standards are. According to your non-discriminatory, politically correct rhetoric, anything goes. After all, we wouldn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Feelings are more important than logic and reason, right? We must do everything we can to avoid stepping on toes.
By my interpretation, your definition of “tolerance” extends to anyone who is not rich, white, Christian, or male. And Lord help you if you all in to all of the above. What happens when the oppressors become the oppressed? Who is there to defend those rights?
Rich people are targeted with higher taxes and demonized for their wealth. Do you not see the hypocrisy in the fact that 7/10 of the wealthiest senators are democrats? In the fact that Obama outspent McCain nearly 10-1? In the fact that among your most vocal supporters are Hollywood millionaires and billionaires, a la Oprah, Streisand, etc.?
I discussed yesterday how Christians are consistently demonized. I won’t rehash that, yet that still stands. It seems that your tolerance extends to non-Christians, gay people, minorities, and poor people. You act as a loud, obnoxious advocates, and generally pander to these groups until they completely submit – you own them, and you know it. After all, once a young, struggling, single mom has become dependent on WIC, how could she vote for someone who would take that away and risk her child’s welfare? After someone has been on welfare their whole life, how can we expect them to put someone in office who will remove their security blanket? The answer is simple – they won’t.
Start giving people the respect they deserve. Teach them that they are valuable, and then SHOW them you believe in them by setting the bar high. Stop providing easy ways out, and people will manage. People should be tested sometimes – how else will they know what they’re made of? Stop blaming rich, white men for your problems – many of you fall into the same category.Take responsibility. The world is not out to get you – you can choose not to hate.
Signed,
A broke but self-sufficient Christian white girl.
whoa…by the title I thought you were talking to those of us who are not fond of lefties….you know you are probably going to hurt the widdle feewings with this one?
I mean can you possibly be any more intolerant of them?
Well stated!
as one of those unfortunates who fall into the “all in” male categories, i wish more people would say this. over and over and over until people start hearing it.
The mantra of the left: “Intolerance will not be tolerated”
I thought this was a very well thought out article. You obviously deal with a lot of the same people day to day that I do.
Yep, that’s pretty much it. Tolerate anything a-morale and deviant and those things that go against a solidly structured society. This is right out of a Conspiracy movie where the Communists of the fifties came in to America and are destroying it from within without firing a single shot by corrupting their kids, the schools, the media etc.
Excellent post! The left viciously attacks us as intolerant when we disagree, but seeks to completely eradicate our values and beliefs. In other words, those who preach tolerance are the most intolerant of all!
Keep up the great work!
Try being a black conservative – the hate is nearly as bad
Point taken Ron! I can imagine…
Gotta love it when Liberals throw stones in a glass house
Hahaha! Take THAT, Libtards! Bada bing!

You gotta read this crazyness
Ooh see, I’m going to have to disagree with you. We are very much under attack. What do you call being threatened and boycotted because you don’t support something based on your beliefs? This has been amazingly widespread since Prop 8 was passed. I believe this is what Linc was referring to when he said that our beliefs are considered hate speech. Even priests are being told not to include “homophobic” language in mass, as it may offend some. What do you call restriction of religious teaching? I also consider that an attack.
Oh good grief. Seriously?

I am clapping and saying yes over here, awesome!!!
all I can say is WOW.. well said.
Thank you for your passion and heart coming from someone who is ” not rich, white, Christian, or male. And Lord help you if you fall in to all of the above.”
Well I would say that all of us who live in America are rich compared to the vast majority of 3rd world countires. The left does have a strong hate and disdain for anyone who does not see it their way.
Hey you forgot us, the brown conservatives… they hate us too, you know.
great blog.
One thing I think you miss is that those people who are paying the taxes dont seem to mind having their taxes raised, including those Senators and Hollywood millionaires. If I were a Holywood millionaire, and didnt want my taxes raised, I am pretty sure I wouldnt give money to the liberals.
As for Obama outspending McCain, I am sure if McCain was able to raise more funds, he would have spent them, the fact that he couldnt, perhaps says something about McCain. But I think we can all agree that there will NEVER be a day when a candidate from either side decides that he/she wont spend what they are given in order to be more “fair” to whoever they are running against.
As for Christians being “demonized”, where? Are you being stopped from going to church? Being told you are no longer able to wear crosses as jewlery, or getting a tattoo showing your faith? Are there laws being put on books in states across the country keeping you from putting Christmas lights on your property? Are church services being stopped from broadcast on cable channels across the country? Can I no longer tune in to watch Evangelists from across the board preach to me? Are you being forced to wear golden stars on your clothes to point out to the rest of the world you are Christian?
Lets quit this Christian persecution thing, its silly and doesnt hold up.
Dear Drugged with Prozac in a Blue State,
You’re an idiot. But first things first: McCain couldn’t raise more funds because he didn’t break his promise to decline public financing as Obama did. Obama raised 600 million dollars, and I’m confident much of it was illegal and came from foreign entities.
We may not be stopped from going to church, but there’s no doubt the media demonizes Christians on a regular basis, while attacks against our faith are carried out with impunity all across America, in cultural and even violent ways. This is only the beginning. Just as thew Jews in Germany didn’t lose their rights overnight, but through a gradual erosion of their freedoms, we also will see the same being done to Christians, via the rationale of declaring everything we stand for to be hate speech and politically incorrect. The tax exemption status of churches will be threatened unless they conform to secular government standards.
No persecution, you say? Only if you’re a blind, brain damaged jerkbag with his head too far up the between Obama’s unwiped butt cheeks to see the truth.
Thanks for the great response Lincoln, nothing like civil discourse!
Lets be honest again though, the only reason McCain tried to pin the whole public financing thing on Obama, was because he read the tea-leaves and knew he wasnt going to raise nearly enough to go head to head. Its called posturing. Its part of the game. Smart move by him to try to level the playing field, but again, if roles were reversed, McCain would have broken his word and run with the money, find me one politician from either side who doesnt! Unfortunetly, politics in the US is more about who can spend the most at this point.
As for where his money came from, i am sure it was all illegal and from foreign entities. Thats how the left roles. Great point.
I dont see the media demonizing the Christian religion at all. I am not sure what you believe in begin declared hate speech? Merry Christmas? I have yet to meet one person who gets offended when that is said, even if they dont celebrate Christmas. I turn on sports events or awards shows and I always see athletes/entertaines thanking their mother, teamates, and G-d, without the G-d being “bleeped out” for being considered a “curse word” by the FCC.
Christianity as a religion is not under attack in this country. The day that is, I will gladly stand beside you and fight for whatever right you feel is being lost.
Except that it was McCain who came up with these campaign financing rules to begin with. I find it ironic that he ended up being choked by the very campaign finance laws he helped to create. Had he broken his vow as well, he may not have raised as much money as Obama, but he certainly would have had a lot more breathing room.
As for persecution, maybe you’ve been too busy watching football and playin around with hookers on Friday nights to notice. but since I also hail from a blue state, I’ve personally been attacked because of my beliefs. I may have the right to attend church and all, but it doesn’t mean I hadn’t been ridiculed or persecuted, especially in academic institutions and where the media is involved.
So please, spare me your noble sentiment of standing by my side, as it means nothing. If you can’t see it now, ten you won’t see it later on when it really matters.
Linc didnt reference anything in his response to my post, so I consider it open for interpertaion.
I do not live in California, and I have not been following what has happened since Prop 8 has passed. I am right with you though, I have an issue when government is telling a priest not to preach the belief of that paritcular church. I believe if a gay couple is looking to get married at a church ever sued a church because a priest said he would not marry said couple or allow them use of the church for the service, I would stand on the side of the church 100% Its not the church’s belief, they should be able to say no thank you, and close their door.
But…I do belive though its not up to the government to determine who marrys who and who should get what rights. I dont think Sam and John or Melissa and Susan gets married and have the same rights as myself and my wife (man and women) makes a difference in how you or I go about our daily lives. My religion doesnt approve it, and I am fine with that. But my religion or anyone elses should have nothing to do with government. Gay Marriage is not what is keeping Detroit from failing, its not why people cant make their mortgages, its not why our soliders get killed in Iraq or Afgh. I dont carry who marrys who. I dont know why other people care. It shouldnt keep you from going about your business in helping to get our great country out of this funk.
Honestly, (a word I am using way to much), people should spend less time worrying about things like Prop 8, and more about what is going to happen when California goes bankrupt next year, and what thats going to do this country.
People have spent to much time worrying about what others are doing that dont fit their religious beliefs, when they should be spending time wondering where all our tax $$$ goes to, because both sides of the asile are guilty in mismanagement of this country, to reliant on debt to keep things moving foward, and its catching up to us big time.
I stand by my statment though, that Christianity as a whole is not under attack. Now, maybe some things the Christian faith, the Jewish faith, and the Muslin faith believe in, like no gay marriage, are going to happen anyway, but its not the faith itself that is under attack, just the govt. and what it recognises.
Tabitha, you said:
Rich people are targeted with higher taxes and demonized for their wealth. Do you not see the hypocrisy in the fact that 7/10 of the wealthiest senators are democrats? In the fact that Obama outspent McCain nearly 10-1? In the fact that among your most vocal supporters are Hollywood millionaires and billionaires, a la Oprah, Streisand, etc.?
I guess all of these Hollywood millionaires and billionaires aren’t hiding all of their $ in off-shore tax havens, like a lot of White, Wealthy Wall St. conservative types. This is the main reason why a lot of Wealthy Wall St. conservatives are being targeted – they are cheating on their taxes.
And usually in this country, Rich, White & Male = Conservative Wall St. type.
You should know because as a white female your predessessors had to fight for the right to vote and to earn = to that of your male counterpart.
