Lefties Beg For Their Sarah Palin

Since the moment she stepped onto the national scene, the Left has mocked Sarah Palin. The loathe her and everything she stands for. She is an offensive creature that they just can’t seem to destroy. Now, they’re begging for someone with the Palin Power they’ve mocked for so long – someone who inspires them. Anna Holmes and Rebecca Traister write in the New York Times:

The left should be outraged and exasperated by all this — but at their own failings as much as Ms. Palin’s ascension. Since the 2008 election, progressive leaders have done little to address the obvious national appetite for female leadership. And despite (or because of) their continuing obsession with Ms. Palin, they have done nothing to stop an anti-choice, pro-abstinence, socialist-bashing Tea Party enthusiast from becoming the 21st century symbol of American women in politics.

Imagine that: a woman who places real value on life, sex and freedom – SHE MUST BE STOPPED! She can’t be a real woman! She wants to cut taxes and repeal ObamaCare! The things that make her appealing to conservatives and Republicans are the things that make her public enemy #1 for the Democrats and feminists. Continue reading

8/28 Wrap Up

I was lucky enough to attend yesterday’s Restoring Honor rally in Washington DC this weekend. I’ll let other people play the numbers game. I just know it was visually stunning.

D.C. Douglas is a scumbag.

Dude apparently has an obsession with Matt Kibbe. It’s kind of cute if you think about it. However, he managed to stop ogling Kibbe long enough to take a ridiculous shot at me in his latest (and most pathetic) attempt at sparking more media controversy. From Tommy Christopher at Mediaite:

Lance Baxter, the voice actor who was fired by Geico for a nasty voicemail he left in Freedomworks’ inbox, is following up his “Teabagger Boogie” with a new ad that takes aim at the Tea Party group’s president, Matt Kibbe. He starts out by scoring a few amusing, if simplistic, points on the Tea Party, but it soon becomes clear this is an exercise in personal score-settling when his Kibbe character says he thinks his subtle, side-burn-fueled attempt to get laid “is working on Tabitha.”

Get it? He implied that I’m having an affair with my boss! Clever! That’s right everyone. If you’re a conservative woman, it’s okay for wannabe actor to talk about you like you’re a whore. Because it’s funny to insinuate that I have no other redeeming qualities. Hahaha! Tabitha’s a slut!

Keep it classy, D.C.. Meanwhile, I’ll let you hang on pathetically to your 15 minutes that have long since passed.

The Leftist Tailspin: When in doubt, threaten to murder them.

Apparently in hopes of upping their game heading into November, the Left has decided that the best way to win is by, you know, offing the opposition.

The movement has proven to be incredibly powerful throughout this primary season – more powerful than I think even the protesters and activists themselves even believed. As a result, the Left is in full panic mode. They have been so busy demonizing the liberty movement since its inception that they have no idea what to do now that we have voter support. They don’t have a backup plan. Their voter turnout and morale are significantly down, and they’re trying to minimize impending disaster in November. Democrats are spinning wildly to give the base a shred of hope so a few of them bother showing up to the polls.

Meanwhile, voter turning in the Florida GOP gubernatorial primary is up 30% from what it was in 2006. GOP establishment candidates have either been eliminated in their primaries or run out of the Republican party in Nevada, Utah, Florida, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Washington; Alaska will most likely be next on the list. Going into the general, almost every one of these candidates is poised to beat the Democrat on November 2nd. The Left is stunned… and as a result they’re upping the level of vitriol against the people it perceives as threats.

You’d think, at some point, a sense of human decency would kick in. Maybe threatening to brutally rape and kill the family members of people you’ve never even laid eyes on is a little over the top? However, everyone’s apparently invincible online, so maybe if you don’t use your real name, then human decency is rendered irrelevant? Who knows? Regardless, the threats of beheadings, rape, and murder come on a daily basis for the outspoken among us – bloggers and pundits can all attest to this.

A while back I posted the audio of the response from the D.C. Douglas call to “tell FreedomWorks what you think.” (If you click that link, be prepared for unedited nastiness from our voicemail boxes) More recently, we’ve received an influx of emails that, in all honesty, I can’t post here due to vile content.

As our Press Secretary Adam Brandon said in a US News and World Report article yesterday, it’s only going to get worse.

FreedomWorks and Dick Armey receive dozens of threatening and harassing calls and emails each day. Many imply violence and use of weapons… As we get closer to the election we expect the harassment to increase.”

Go read the piece for the full story. It’s fun. We will soon be moving our offices for increased security.

The misinformation and the hatred are perpetuated by the left-wing blogosphere, which is – without exception – loose with facts and totally disinterested in civil discourse. Take today’sCrooks and Liars piece for example. Anyone doing their homework would know that FreedomWorks has never received a dime from the Koch Foundation. The Kochs themselves have explained this. Pretty clear statement… unless you are just determined to believe that the Kochs are the George Soros of the Right and nothing happens without them. In which case, the facts are pretty inconvenient, and research is hard.

Also, the guy in NYC who stabbed the Muslim cabby? TOTALLY a Tea Partier. ISLAMOPHOBIA! HATE! KKK! Except… oh, wait. Crap.

All this to say, step it up, Lefties. You’ve been reduced to hateful, spiteful, vindictive whiners who talk like a 12 year old who just discovered YouTube comments, and it’s time to think things through a little. Is sending death threats to FreedomWorks going to make your loss a little less miserable in two months ? We’re fully prepared to receive more bomb threats and then march again on 9/12. you focus on the teeth-gnashing and rage. We’ll focus on November.

Sheryl Crow used to at least be a good songwriter

Apparently now she sucks at that too. Via Newsbusters:

Crow also made some predictions for the November elections (listen up, Karl Rove!), and threatened to move to Canada if the Democrats suffered major losses. “The Tea Party is going to split the Republican vote,” she estimated. “[W]hich can only be good for the Democrats. That has to be the hope. Either that, or we all move to Canada.”

Here’s the thing Sheryl: We’re not splitting any vote. We’re not a third party. I love watching lefties scramble to categorize the movement. The Democrat Party marches in lockstep with all of the liberal factions – the idea that the Republicans are not connected to the Tea Party movement and are largely being replaced and endangered by completely escapes them. That can’t get their stories straight. Sometimes we’re nothing but a GOP shill, sometimes we’re fringey third party wingnuts.

I’m cool with keeping them guessing.

Ask Sasquatch!

Nancy Pelosi stepped in it yesterday regarding the Ground Zero Mosque. From Erickson:

Aligning herself with the fringe — a group of people no larger than those who think 9/11 was an inside job and those who think Barack Obama is a foreign born Manchurian candidate — Pelosi said, “There is no question there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some. And I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded.”

Meanwhile, a GOP aide officially won the argument this morning:

One GOP aide told HUMAN EVENTS this morning, “If the Speaker needs help finding the heart of the ‘GOP GZM Conspiracy’ I urge her to ask Sasquatch.  His office is behind the black helicopter hangar, between the unicorn pen and the leprechaun’s pot of gold.”

Game. Set. Match.

It’s kind of fun to see the people who’ve accused the Tea Party movement of being radical fringers join the ranks.

Democrats and Suffragettes

I received an email from the Jen O’Malley Dillon, Executive Director of the DNC today. I’ll spare you the absurd text of the entire email, but here are some excerpts:

For the first 144 years of this country’s existence, women were not guaranteed the right to vote — and winning that right did not come easily.

Women’s suffrage took a movement. It took organizers who worked tirelessly and allies who fought for the cause in the halls of power. On August 18th, 1920, when the legislature of the state of Tennessee voted to ratify the 19th Amendment and affirm its place in the Constitution, it passed by a single vote.

But the fight for full equality is not finished. In 2008, a woman in the United States earned only 77 cents for every dollar earned by a man. For women of color, the disparity is even greater.

We have a choice with this election about whether we want to continue the fight to bring down barriers — whether we want to move forward or backward. We’ll decide whether we want to honor the legacy of those who couldn’t vote but reached for that right. But all those decisions begin with the promise that you will participate in the fall elections.

That’s right, everyone. Just vote Democrat. Everyone will be equal! We’ll all sit around and praise Dear Leader and ride our unicorns beneath the double rainbows. All it takes is your vote for a Democrat.

The reality is this: Democrats have absolutely no authority to claim that they have a woman’s best interest at heart. For example, Obama talked a big game on closing the wage gap. Except… he refused to pay women the same as he paid men in his Senate office. From NRO almost 2 years ago (source):

Obama’s commitment to federally mandated pay equity stretches from the Rockies to Wall Street and beyond. And yet it seems to have eluded his United States Senate office. Compensation figures for his legislative staff reveal that Obama pays women just 83 cents for every dollar his men make. Continue reading

54% of "political class" think federal government should have unlimited power

Let’s ignore for a minute the 9% of people who have no problem with full government control, according to this Rasmussen poll. That number is disturbing in and of itself. Let’s look at this part:

By a 54% to 43% margin, the Political Class believes the federal government should be allowed to do most anything. Mainstream voters reject that view by a 94% to three percent (3%) margin.

Seem outrageous? It absolutely is. But when you think about it, it’s not hard to believe. Remember when Pete Stark came out and said it last week? When they passed bills on a “trust us, this won’t hurt a bit” promise? Clearly, they know what’s best. They are the ruling class and should be in charge. Nevermind us mere mortals that, you know, pay their salaries and actually function in and drive the economy that they are currently destroying.

A fundamental belief of the Left is that the government can fix anything that is broken in society, whether it be racial injustice, health care problems, failing banking systems, or evil little children that don’t pay for licensing when they set up their lemonade stands. There is this idea of a state-sponsored utopia in Washington that compels them to meddle and “fix” everything they can get their hands on. The private sector is just too stupid to be left to their own devices. Black people and women need “national leaders” and caucuses because we’re all just too stupid to “lead” ourselves. Small business owners clearly don’t know what is best for their businesses, parents aren’t trusted to know what’s right for their children, and when a CEO is failing, a President with zero private sector experience is to destroy him and buy the floundering company.

After all, which such a brilliant cast of characters in Washington right now, why wouldn’t we trust them to make all of our decisions for us? Continue reading
